We were looking for a Baltic cruise in June and this one departing from Copenhagen fitted our dates perfectly. The transfer from Copenhagen airport and embarkation was all very smooth and we were on board very quickly to explore the ship. We had not cruised with Princess before, however were impressed with the decor and facilities on board.
Captain Perrin was excellent, the most informative captain we've had and we particularly appreciated his updates when cruising through the Stockholm archipelago and approaching the Storebealt bridge.
The entertainment on board was very good, the production shows, especially 'Feria' and 'The Voice of the Ocean' (featuring the revolving chairs from the TV show were particular highlights, but best of all was the Russian Folklore show on the evening we were in St Petersburg - it was brilliant fun and had the audience clapping and singing along. We also enjoyed some fun trivia quizzes in Princess Live, as well as some cookery demos.
We had a wander around the town of Warnemunde with it's lovely fishing port vibe and wide sandy beaches and promenade.
We took a short stroll from the ship to the Old Town, which is a pretty medieval walled town. We visited the main square, upper town (Toompea) and even walked along a section of the city wall. We were lucky enough to see Estonian folk dancers in the main square.
Took the hop on, hope off boat which departs right next to the ship. Visited Gamla Stan (old town) which is a must-see, downtown and had a lovely walk around Djurgarden and saw the Tivoli Park, which looked fun.
