This was my second cruise. The first was with Explorer of the Seas, we loved it so much that we went on the Anthem with friends and family, 18 in total and we were all disappointed. Ages ranged from 9 - 73 and there was something for everyone to complain about. If you already are booked, don't worry, you will have fun, but if you are deciding, don't book on this ship. It seemed as this was the first ship RC had and it was their maiden voyage. Over 4,000 guests, but it did not have the amenities to handle everyone. Unless you were up at 8am, you could not get a chair by the small pool. So much time wasted trying to get reservations, trying to get information, trying to find a seat at the pool or the buffet.

As I said, I was on the Explorer of the Seas, which held about 1,000 less people, but the pool was similar in size, the dining was similar in size, the casino, restaurants, kids club, guest services etc were all similar in size, you would think if they added more staterooms, they would have made the amenities proportionately bigger, but no.

Guest services only had 4 stations/computers for over 4,000 people. All week there was always a line. Literally always 1+ hour wait, even at 1 am people were waiting an hour to have problems solved. My son spent hours trying to get his sea pass card to work, always a problem. My wife tried to make reservations for the rip cord months prior to our trip but was told it could only be made on the ship. We got on at 12:30 and she waiting in line for an hour at guest services and was told it was sold out & she should have made it online. Every piece of information was wrong & contradictory. She was able to get 3 of the 10 that wanted to go on the 2nd to last day. Sometimes, people did not show up for their reservation, but staff would not allow a standby guest to do the ride and it was only open a couple hours a day. It is a cool ride, why cant it go 12 hours a day so every one can have a turn, same with flow rider, bumper cars, northstar, all long waits because of limited hours.
