Have sailed with RC twice before and loved it - but not on this ship!! Disabled accessible junior suite cabin was good, but cabin steward service not great. Ran out of tea bags, sugar, sometimes no teaspoons, filtered coffee sachets did not fit the filter coffee machine, ran out of tissues in bathroom, sometimes only one glass left etc. Tray with drinks on was left dirty for days, cleaned it myself in the end. Carpet not vacuumed regularly as we found tablets on the floor from a previous guest and deliberately left them there. One was still there on day eight! Sofa and chaise very tired looking and stained.
Sapphire dining was okay but the quality of the food did not come up to the standard and quantity of our two previous RC cruises. Dining staff good but again not as polished as previously experienced.
Overall we feel RC want to extract as much money from you as they can. Ridiculous internet charges, outrageous prices in shops and even during their 'sales'. Excursions very expensive and also very disorganised. I know there are a lot of people to organise to get off on their excursions but particularly for disabled passengers we found this very frustrating. For a tour in St Petersburg we were told to report to the theatre by 08.00 and eventually boarded our accessible bus by 10.40 !!! We were also told that there would be no wheelchair accessible shuttle buses available and therefore hooked RC excursions. What they do NOT tell you is that at most ports there is a Hop on Hop off accessible bus available - although not every bus has a ramp so sometimes you have to wait a while.
