Having enjoyed 3 Thomson cruises over the years immensely, we booked with one of the other companies and sailed with them on one of the multi story ships. It was with huge relief that we returned this year to the Thomson family. It did not let us down..again. The Majesty is aged but full of character and the fact that the cleaning was relentless by the staff more than made up for the little chips on basins, window frames etc. She's an old ship....that is her charm.
Thomsons staff are in a league of their own, so friendly, polite and always willing to go the extra mile. The Captain of the ship is immensely proud of all of his staff and during the occasions when the staff paraded on the stage and were introduced by the Captain...and not only officers but engine room staff, maintenance crew, bar, restaurant etc etc....most of us had a tear in our eye as he spoke about them.
The entertainments team are like a little family within the family, they work and rehearse non stop to provide day and evening activities and the show team presented first class shows with every one of the team being worthy of appearing on the west end stage. The male classically trained singers blew us away night after night.
