Sail Date: Jun 2016

We chose this cruise for the itinerary which included 3 ports in Ireland, three in Scotland and stops at Guernsey and Le Harve. Its a port-intensive trip over 12 days with just two sea days.

We found the service on board to be excellent with pleasant and willing-to-please wait and cabin staff.

The ship itself is getting a little worn-especially in the cabins, but overall, is clean and well maintained.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Not much to say. We simply drove through to the ship on a bus provided by Princess from our London hotel.

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

We found the Victor Hugo (author of Le Mis) home to be outstanding. Call ahead from the tourist office to make sure you get in to one of the docent-led tours.

Cobh (Cork)

Cobh is the gateway to the Blarney Castle and its walkable from the ship (really). There is a Titanic Memorial Park and several interesting sites.

Dublin

We found the hop-on, hop-off buses to be a great way to see the town. We actually rode it twice around! First time we got off twice, second time we rode the entire route.

Belfast

Once again we rode the Hop On Hop off bus and found it way more cost-effectivie then the ship tours.

Greenock (Glasgow)

It was a dreay day in Glasgow but this is not the tropics. The bus ride tour showed us some highlights and that was about it.
