Sail Date: Jun 2016

Embarkation: To my surprise embarkation was a breeze compared to other Carnival cruises I have been on. Literally within 10 min of getting to the Overseas Passenger Terminal we were on the ship. Make it easier if purchased a suite or have high vifp status.

Ship: We had sailed on the Spirit before it left to Australia back in 2012 and may I say it wasn't all that. But WOW! this time around it seemed like a completely different ship! From the paint of the outside to the carpet inside. The only thing that could have been changed is the overall decor. I think it is a little bit old fashioned and should be concentrated to a more modern feel like Celebrity and Royal Caribbean's newer ships.

Food: We are mostly buffet eaters and rally don't go to the dining rooms. Once again back in 2012 the food was mostly disappointing. It made our day to find out that on the Sep 2015 renovation they added the burger joint and the blue iguana catina which to us quiet good plus Fat Jimmys too. Only thing about Jimmy was that the menu was pretty much the same everyday. There was really never a variety. I though that the overall quality of the food was by far better the Carnival USA is. Everything tasted more natural and better prepared including the soft serve.

Port Reviews

Mystery Island

By far the best port that we went too. The crystal clear water were so beautiful. Great place to snorkels as there is lots of fish and corals.
