This cruise had some ports we never visited before and it was a good fit for our budget, 6 people over $10,000. The embarkation took a long time. As the cruise unfolded, we found a common theme of disorganization. The following areas were of concern and reported on the ship. 1. Food Service Dining Room and Buffet. Lines and more lines. It seemed there was not enough help. Example: It took me 35 minutes to get an omelet made. Really? 35 minutes is the best they can do? And that continued for the entire trip. The formal dining room my as well be a fast food restaurant. The entire place was disorganized. The doors opened up for early seating, and people just flew in all over the place. No order, no seating by dining room employees, nothing, just a free-for-all. It was a mess every night. The food was very good, but the service was sub par. Embarkation at every port took a long time--again, long lines. This was after going through Customs. Why? The reason was Carnival had two gang planks open, 1 line each instead of 2 each as in the past and hundreds of people standing in the heat trying to get into the ship. A total disaster. The lines and lines and disorganization was a total disaster.
The cabin was good. We had a bit of trouble with water draining in the sink and shower, but that was fixed immediately. The room steward was outstanding.
It took a long time to get through the lines and registration.
