We sailed on Marco Polo to Baltic and St Petersburg May 2016 and could only rate the cruise as average- ish.
The cabins are quite dated and no tea/coffee making facilities but were clean and the cabin steward great. The shopping quarter consisted of 2 shops which were ridiculously over priced.
We bought an all inclusive drinks package which was worth every penny and included cocktails.
The food was not over impressive. Even in the main restaurant coked breakfast was still self service which does not help if you are not a fully able bodied person. The self serve restaurant always seemed to be chaos with queues a regular thing.
The lifts were constantly breaking down and port days were a nightmare for the trips. disabled people were offered no help to get on and off the ship which we found disgusting and when we complained on return to UK about that and other issues the response from C&M was not worth the paper they wrote it on. They didn't offer any decent response to our complaints and even tried to tell us that the lifts are not in use on embarkation or disembarkation!!
The entertainment team were friendly and did their best.
Leaving the ship when we got back was well organised and I would even say better than other big cruise companies I have used.
Overall the cruise wasn't bad as the ports of call made it with lovely trips. Would we sail on Marco Polo again? NO absolutely not.
