WE CHOOSE THIS SHIP BECAUSE IT WAS RAVED AS ONE OF THE BEST AND NEWEST SHIPS. WE WERE EXRETEMELY DISAPPOINTED. The food selection was just average. The seafood buffet was very plain and average. Very little shrimp and no lobster. All they had was little clams and mussels. The menu at each complementary resturant was the same. Only special was Prime rib on certain nights. No buffet after 11:30p. The rooms were small with very little draw space. Closet was difficult to access. Bathroom shower stall was very cramped. Feel like you were in a time capsule. The pool was very small for the amount of people on the ship. Needed to get there early to get a lounge chair. The gift shop sold poor quality shirts. The Guy Harvery shirts were more expensive than if you wre to go to Macys. They shrunked when washed. The excusions were very poor. We took the one in ST.Thomas called Discover St.Thomas &Magens Bay. Started off good going to the beach but in St.Thomas they left us on the top with 99 steep steps to go down. No one to help or assist. We had to find our own way back. Either walk or take a run down taxi. It was a few miles away from the ship. Our other excusion was Virgin Gorda and the baths. To get to the beach we had to go though an opstacle course of large bolders. Again no one to assist and help. Many of us had scraps on our arms and legs. They said the way back was flat. They were wrong. In Nassau we took a cab to Paradise Island. We played a little in the Casino. Could not see much indoors because you needed to have a bracelet for access. We tried to go to the Aquarium but it was sold out. With over three ships there it was overwhelming with tourist. The all you can drink was very good. Serive was fast and the selection was great. Not happy with retrieving our luggage. We had to go to three purple stations to get our luggage. This was our first time on a NCL ship.. Compared to previous ones we took on the Carnival we felt very ordinary on the Escape. Nothing special or outstanding with the food. Cramped up by the pool. We feel it was not worth what we paid or expected.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

The room was small for a balcony. The draws were very little to put your clothes away. The closet was very difficult to get to. Not much room to access it. The shower enclosure was very tight. Made it difficult to shower in. You have to be very skinny to fit into the shower capsule.

Port Reviews

Nassau

Took taxi to Paradise Island. Poor condition of taxi and he drove very fast and poorly. Aquirium as sold out. Could not venture into the shops without bracelet from Hotel. Traffic in Nassau was a mad house. We eat at the Breaded Crab which was a disaster. It took over 1 1/2 hours just to get a beer. We had to ask for our check several times and had to wait for it. Too many tourist for a small Island.
