Stayed in Honolulu for 3 days before the cruise at the Waikiki Marriott. The hotel was on the beach, had wonderful views and was nice and clean. There were at least 2 pools and a poolside grill with live music. The elevators were fast. The hotel had an ABC store and several shops and restaurants. Ate at DK Steakhouse. The food was good, but not great. Also ate at their Italian restaurant which was very good. Hotel is just one block from the Zoo.

We did the tour of the Arizona and Missouri; this was excellent and worth seeing. We also toured the Polynesian cultural center which was very entertaining with different cultural shows and exhibits.

Ship Stateroom: The Pride of America is a beautiful ship. See cabin review below for details.

Cabin Review

Family Balcony

Cabin B2

Our cabin, a family balcony, was cramped with 2 adults and 2 children, but very nice. The balcony was larger than I had expected. The frig came stocked with soda and liquor for sale, but we did not want it and had it removed the first night there so we could store our water bottles there. You can bring water bottles back on the ship with you when you return to the ship each day. Each room is stocked with beach towels, so you don't need to pack those. They will wash and restock those towels daily. The bathroom had a medicine cabinet to hold you toiletries which was nice. We had a fairly large closet with about 6 or 7 shelves which helped with storage. There were only 4 drawers in the room. The balcony had 2 chairs and 2 stool/seats. The room does have a TV and safe. NOTE: Bring an electrical outlet extension. There were only 2 electrical outlets available in the room!
