I did a lot of research. Did not want a party boat and wanted to be in port as much as possible. Knew several who had done the river cruises and loved them. We are planning on another ocean cruise when our travel budget allows. We had a wonderful experience. Very comfortable stateroom and verandah and great bed ! I cannot praise the service highly enough.EVERYONE was unfailingly helpful, caring and upbeat. All the shore excursions( and at least one in every port was included),were interesting and well organized. The port talks on the ship were interesting and informative. And the food...well, we had some exceptional meals (and wine !) really fine dining. The specialty restaurants were superlative, but the main restaurant was always great .The afternoon tea service also was excellent.Entertainment ranged from classical to jazz with some larger venue music, which was fun. They show films to reflect the ports you visit --we saw Roman Holiday. They made airport transfers very easy. Loved the whole thing and can't wait until we can do it again.
