Sail Date: Jun 2016

We took this cruise for our honeymoon. My husband has sailed on Carnival many times before and swears by it. I have only sailed on Princess Cruise Lines and decided to give Carnival a chance because the crowd on a Princess cruise is typically pretty senior citizen so I was looking forward to having a good time with people closer to our age.

Embarkation was really pretty easy but once we were on the ship, that's when all hell broke loose. By the time we got on the ship we were pretty hungry and being offered lunch while on the ship seemed like a good idea. The lines for food were long and there was literally no place to sit. We had to consider just sitting on the floor to try and eat, finally we found a dirty table to try and sit at and we had to sit with someone else's gross food for the longest time hoping someone would end up busing the table, that never happened. But by that point we hadn't lost hope we knew that all these passengers had no where else to go because you can't go into your room until 1:30pm.

At 1:30pm we went to our room. At first glance we were convinced that house keeping had never even been inside the room to clean it. The bed looked like it had been slept on, there was even short black hairs in the bed *gag*, there was make-up smeared everywhere, there was toilet paper on the balcony, the floor was wet, the towels had what looked to be food stuck to them, there was food on the couch and our "Fun Times" the ship's newspaper, was just scattered around the room. I know that house keeping is in a time crunch to turn around a ship, but sheesh, its not that hard to notice make up everywhere. We called house keeping to let them know and it took them hours to come to our room, by that time we had figured they gave up so we just took hand sanitizer and cleaned our room ourselves. They did eventually show up and we let them know about the situation.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

That's where we got on and off the ship, there's not even an excursion for this.
