Sail Date: Apr 2016

We were on the Azamara Journey for the transatlantic sailing April 5 to April 20 of this year and overall it was our 11th with Azamara and our 72nd cruise in total. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed and after returning home cancelled 3 future cruises with Azamara.

We prefer to dance after dinner, rather than sitting in a show, and unfortunately many evenings for us were tedious and boring. Dancers require good music, variety, and a good surface on which to dance. The Journey fell short on the music and from what we understand from a reliable and official source on board, the Quest will not have a good dance surface, even after being in dry dock.

Three nights during the 15 days on board, there was no music at all in the L. R., not even recorded until the DJ appeared at 10:30, and for the other 12 evenings there was only ONE guitarist. Azamara used to have a duo on board, and obviously one guitarist cannot provide the variety that a duo can and did. Is this a "cutback"???
