The best thing about this cruise was the itinerary. We thoroughly enjoyed all the ports we visited. We took several Princess tours and all of them were wonderful, well planned and very informative. The tour guides in Ireland and Scotland were outstanding. While the tours were expensive, they were well worth it. I highly recommend Princess tours.
Unfortunately, we were disappointed with Caribbean Princess. The ship is worn and is in need of repair in several areas. Also, the food onboard was the worst we've experienced on any cruise. This includes the main dining room and the buffet. The menu items were tasteless. All items were served at room temperature....salads were warm, hot items cool.
The servers in the main dining room were very good and tried very hard to please everyone. Servers in the buffet looked unhappy most of the time. We did try the Crown Grill and it was very good.
Our cabin was in need of repair in several areas. The balcony door did not lock properly and slid open on its own. We reported it several times and no one ever came to fix it. Also, our bathroom sink leaked on to the shelf below it. The sink was also clogged and drained very slowly. One day the toilet didn't flush and our cabin steward said we shouldn't worry as several other cabins were having the same problem??
The sofa in the cabin was so dirty and stained I was reluctant to sit on it.
Did Princess tour Best of Scottish Highlands. Very good.
Did Princess tour Skara Brai and Skall House. Very informative...tour guide outstanding.
