We chose this cruise because it had a newcastle upon Tyne departure not a common occurrence. Flight was fine with jet2 but the mini suite was a disappointment - Very strange configuration - bathroom (Bath and shower in one room with a connecting door into the toilet and washbasin room (that's if you could squeeze in and both my husband and I are very slim and not very tall). The alternative was to walk round in a semi circle past the very small wardrobe room to get from one part of the bathroom to another. There was no shelf space in the toilet washbasin room so all toiletries had to be kept in the bath shower room (sounds weird but that's how it was. The toilet needed a deep clean, i.e under the rim was disgusting. The guy cleaning the room was hardworking but had far too much to do in the allotted time. The balcony was a sight to behold paintwork again was disgusting and a substance like putty had been used to seal up gaps, holes etc A 5 year old child could have done a better job. Wouldn't even sit out there. The linden on the bed was 2 shades of white or should I say the pillowcases seemed fairly new and we're white whereas the duvet cover had been washed and used so many times it was dirty white or cream (for want of a better description)!
Some of the food in the restaurant was quite good but some was so mundane it was Untrue!
The public spaces appeared to be well maintained and clean but for us this ship is a no Go!
