Food - The food on Anytime Dining was far from fine dining. The Ribeye that my husband had ordered was ok & another night he had Fillet Mignon which was not tender at all. 1st night I had Cod with lentils which was dry. Another night I had the King Crab legs which was really fresh. Also tried Chicken Pot Pie (recipe by Curtis Stone) was tasty but over salted.

The buffet meals on 14th Floor, Horizon Cafe was not too bad but lacking in variety as compared to Celebrity ships. It was also frustrating that their area at Horizon Cafe was really limited & passengers were always standing/walking around looking for a place to sit during meal times.

Their Specialty Restaurant, Sabitini's, was a great disappointment too. The double baked artichoke my husband ordered as an appetizer was tastier than the mozzarella on a bed of tomatoes was abit bland. We also ordered crispy squid which, in our opinion, was served like any fish & chips cafe. Our mains of Lobster was a great disappointment for a Specialty Restaurant. It was either steamed or boiled in their shell split & rested on a little sauce with a spoonful of barley (served like a risotto). The waiter on serving our lobsters removed the meat from their shells & set it on the sauce. For dessert, we tried tirimisu, chocolate creme brulee & a citrus tart. I liked the tart & my husband loved the others though he said the choc creme brulee tasted more like mousse.

Cabin BA

We had a fabulous cabin attendant & kept our cabin really neat, clean & toilet/shower was always cleaned. Shower was really small for a big person.

Size of cabin was average but the wardrobe facing the toilet was big enough to store our 2 big luggage. There's plenty of hanging space for the clothes.

Our cabin was on the Aft, so balcony was slightly bigger, so we had a really great view of all the glaciers. So it was not necessary for us to rush to the top of the ship when it was freezing.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We did the Mt Roberts Tramway up 18,500ft & met Lady Baltimore, a bald eagle in captivity. Had a drink at Red Dog Saloon, a must see!

Whittier

It was raining as we got off the Princess train to embark the ship. We did not see anything or done anything.
