this was our second choice as our original was cancelled. Living on the continent it was easy to travel by train to Keil in north Germany to start the cruise. This was our fourth cruise with MSC and we were satisfied, as always by the reception we received at the dock. Cases were whisked away and soon we were sitting having a drink, on board. The cabin was pretty spacious, bed comfortable, all facilities clean and shining and kept so throughout the cruise. Dining suited us very well. We kept the same table for dinner each day, sharing with four other friendly people who shared our enjoyment of the food, service and wine!

The entertainment team was fantastic all week. Where do they get their energy from? In turn, funny, caring, professional and always with a smile. Some games were not to our taste but on the whole everything was fun. The evening shows were outstanding! Always a favourite part of the cruise for me, the whole team gave us a very pleasant evening each day! The comedy from the entertainment team before the show started added to our pleasure too.

We left the ship in each port and enjoyed Copenhagen as we had been before. Tallinn was an absolute delight, we will definitely return but Helsinki was a little disappointing and grey, even though the weather was quite good. We took only one excursion from the ship, in St Petersburg. Well organised, with an extremely knowledgeable guide, we filled the day and saw everything we had expected to see. An amazing city well worth seeing. The Hermitage and the Summer Palace were outstanding. Musical fountains, a must! A really great end to a wonderful cruise.
