Serenade of the Seas is changing from a Caribbean to an Alaskan itinerary shortly but I wanted to share our experience on this ship and the Eastern Caribbean ports of call given the fact that we had a member in our party that requires a wheelchair.

We flew in a day early and rented a van (our daughter is able to stand and with two of use we transferred her into the middle bench seat. The van had a stow-n-go rear seat which folded into the floor providing enough room to get her wheelchair in not to mention all our luggage.

We spent one night at the Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar which is right on the ocean just to the west of San Juan. It is a facility we could have spent the week at. Great pool and they had wheelchair access right up to the sand on the ocean on their property.

Cabin Review

Cabin OV

Accessible Oceanview 3078. Plenty of room. The bathroom facilities were totally accessible. The room itself was oversized as a result of the larger bathroom.
