It was a package offered by the Purdue Alumni. Also on the cruise were groups from Central Michigan University, and the Naval Academy. We spent a three day pre-cruise tour of Rome and we are very glad we did. It is an amazing city to visit and there is so much history there. All of the connections and transfers were handled perfectly. The ship was a fairly new ship which meant it was very clean and inviting. We took a shore excursion almost every day. The dining was wonderful and they offered four specialty restaurants which cost nothing extra. But the most outstanding aspect of this line was the absolutely courteous and attentive staff. I have sailed on three other cruise lines and this one by far has the best crew and staff. They offered some amazing entertainment and bands. And the casino was a nice diversion (Although didn't win).

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We basically only saw Civitavecchia on the bus ride from Roma to the ship.
