Sail Date: May 2016
Cabin: Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Embarkation and disembarkation was quick with no delays which was great. Our cabin was roomy, airy and clean well up to expectations. Dining areas not cluttered, well looked after by the staff and most important food tasty with a lot of variation. Visiting entertainers good as were the on board bands but the ship dancers not as good on this ship lines as on other lines such as the Carnival Line. Service was of a high standard. Shore excursions great with a lot of choices, worth doing the trip again to try different shore excursions that is how good the excursions we took were, friends took different excursions and they told us how good their choices were. I have one criticism, alcoholic drinks on all shipping lines are similar, however there was an 18% gratuity loading on alcoholic drinks on this ship, to me it is a "money grab" and quite frankly a turn off. On all other shipping lines there was not such a "loading", n other cruises my wife and I would stay up later for a few drinks with friends but on this ship we retired earlier to bed so in the long run this shipping line missed out, I say this because there were 18 of us booked onto this cruise therefore they missed out on at least 18 drinks at least each evening but multiply this by four to work out who really lost out, not us but the share holders.

Cabin D2

Cabin always maintained and kept clean, the person who looked after our cabin Mr. Doctor, yeas that is his name, was very efficient, friendly and well mannered.

Port Reviews

Kusadasi

About 6 years ago we spent 4 weeks in Turkey and been to all the areas available from the cruise ship, I would however recommend Ephesus as a site to visit. This port was interesting but stay away from the sellers on the street selling perfume, very cheap and nasty and may damage your skin, eg selling the best brand named perfumes, three bottles for 15Euros, now that is when the "danger signs" light up, for your own health do not purchase.
