Chose this cruise because of its destination, we wanted to see St Petersburgh and also because Celebrity were supposed to be "5" star ships. What a disappointment! We were not informed prior to our date of departure that the ship had had a Nora virus outbreak on it. Consequently when we arrived at Southampton we were unable to board the ship due to it being deep cleaned. Whilst I understand the seriousness of the virus and the need to prevent it re-occurring if we had been notified, we could have gone down later, instead we had to carry our hand luggage including my husbands suit holder around the town, no facility was available to store our property safely.
When eventually we boarded around 3.30pm we were unable to go to our cabins until much later.
What a let down that turned out to be, we had booked a balcony and we assumed that it would at least be on a par with Princess or Royal Caribbean but not in any way was it as good. One little wardrobe of hanging space with a sliding door that stuck all the time, five small drawers to put everything else in. There was a cupboard over the bed but being only five feet tall I had to climb on the bed every time to access it. The bathroom was better equipped with cupboard space.
Very poor cheap and shoddy wardrobe, only five small drawers, had space over bed but this meant I had to climb up onto it every time I needed something out of it
