We had not sailed Celebrity in many years, but I had a great experience in 2000. We are avid NCL fans but tried something different. We had a beautiful handicap, Aqua class stateroom on the starboard side, #1526 The cruise itself was wonderful, the ship is absolutely gorgeous, particularly liked the two pools, one adult only, indoor and the outdoor. We found the Murano restaurant one of the best we have EVER been to, and we're from Chicago! Blue was good, but I don't know that I would pay for the Aqua class just to eat there. We intentionally went before spring break because we like a little quieter atmosphere without hundreds of kids running around. That being said, we both felt the ship was too quiet. This was a very senior group, so there was very little activity. If you like total peace and quiet, this is the place for you. I would gladly go back on any Celebrity ship because of great staff, cleanliness and onboard amenties, but might choose a 7 day where there are more young people around. Ports I am torn. Puerto Limon- had never been there nor had ever zip lined so that was fun. Had always wanted to see the Canal, that was fascinating, but OH the poverty and filth in the populated areas surrounding it! Cartegena absolutely wonderful, especially since it was overnight stop and we got a chance to really explore. Grand Cayman is a tender port and my husband has a hard time with boarding, and we have been there several times, so we stayed on the ship on the top deck and enjoyed some mojitos and watched the other boats from the GREAT top deck of the ship.

My biggest complaint with Celebrity was the HORRIBLE customer service regarding handicap shore excursions. How can it be that they don't know how far it is from the pier to the port ?? No info on THEIR off shore excursions. You ask a questions and either no one answers or you have to wait 24-48 hours.
