I was very concerned about this ship after reading some awful comments but as usual, we were pleasantly surprised. We had upgraded our cabin to outside plus following bad reviews of standard cabins and we were very pleased with it. We were in 733 and our cabin overlooked deck 7. I was very concerned that people walking past could see in but realised that the windows have a two way mirror effect - we could see out but no one could see in even with the light on - very relieved! The cabin had plenty of wardrobe and drawer space (there's never enough for me anyway) and was quite a pretty room; however the shower room while very clean, was small and in need of a bit of a makeover. It was fine though and pretty much what we expect from this ship. I was delighted to find my hairdryer and straighteners worked perfectly (a big thing for most women) and it was unusual as I can never normally get much power on a ship. The food onboard in the cafe area is pretty basic, nothing outstanding and nothing that encouraged me to eat more than I normally would, but perfectly adequate for us who are not big eaters anyway but we ate in the 7 Seas each evening and did enjoy that. They always tried to get us a table for two. We only had to share one evening. We bought a drinks package when we booked which wasn't expensive; the wine wasn't that brilliant and I've had better. My husband likes Fosters and that wasn't included but San Miguel is fine. You have to pay for bottled water which is ridiculous. The main entertainment was pretty good, the show team always make an excellent effort and the comedian was brilliant although we have seen him before. Daytime entertainment leaves a lot to be desired but generally we're either off ship or sunbathing so it wasn't a big deal for us. We would go down to one of the bars mid afternoon and it was always very quiet. A little musical entertainment would go down well then.

We did a couple of excursions. One to Barcelona but when dropped off for free time later was told we could either make our own way back or to meet the coach at 1.20. We were there at 1.10pm with another couple and waited 30 minutes but it didnt turn up. We ended up sharing a taxi back so we were a bit annoyed. We did go to complain (it was our last day) but reception was so busy we gave up. Overall a very good weeks cruising. Its a budget cruise so I think we had value for money.

Cabin Review

Cabin outsideplus

Outside plus on deck 7. Very nice cabin and well looked after by Ahmed and Mende. Near to restaurants/entertainment.
