We drove from our home to Galveston and went straight to EZ cruise parking lot, which turned out to be a disaster. There were two ships in, so there were lots and lots of cars trying to park. If we hadn't already prepaid, we probably would have gone elsewhere. EZ cruise did not have enough shuttles running to handle all the people. There shuttles parked at one end of the lot not even being used. We stood in the sun for 35 minutes before being picked up. Mind you we had on jeans and long sleeves, as it was very cool when we left home; but by 10:30, it was getting very warm. We finally got to the terminal via shuttle and were dropped off at 11:00. We stood in line in the terminal for two and a half hours before we were finally checked in and allowed to board. They never gave us an explanation for the long delay, and we have never experienced that before. There were some pretty unhappy people what with having to stand in line that long.

When we finally got on board, we were pleasantly surprised at the looks of the ship after having been in drydock. We had new carpet in our stateroom, the ship had been freshly painted, new furniture on our balcony, new pool furniture, and the big screen TV out by the pool were all nice new things.

We sailed right on time out of Galveston that Sunday afternoon. By the next afternoon, they had run out of Miller Lite beer on the ship. We were told they hoped to replenish their supply once we reached Key West. That never happened, so us Miller Lite drinkers had to find a second choice. Now I know that this might not be a big problem to a lot of people; but equate with what would coffee drinkers think if they had run out of regular coffee on the first full day, and all you had to drink the rest of the cruise was decaf!!!! Don't think you'd be very happy either. Oh well, we made do; and thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.

Cabin Review

Cabin bal

We had a balcony cabin on the very back of the ship, and absolutely loved it. We will definitely want back of the ship from now on.
