We are Platinum level Carnival cruisers so we've been doing this for a while - and I'm beginning to be irritated by the cuts to the level of service on Carnival to keep the prices at rock bottom. So if you're looking for a low price cruise that has ok service and food, go Carnival. If you're looking for those little extras that make your cruise really special, try another cruise line. Here's an example. Carnival stewards used to service your cabin every morning and every night - now you have to choose one or the other. The stewards also have more cabins to look after so are always trying to keep up. The wait staff in the restaurants now have more tables to look after so are a bit rushed and can't give you as much individual attention as in the past. Bathrobes in the cabins - once a given, but now you have to ask for them.......can't be long before they disappear all together.

Now having said all that, the staff did the best they could, the food was decent and the weather was great. But I personally would rather pay a few dollars more and get the excellent service that made cruising so special for us in the past.

Interior

We had an odd shaped handicap accessible I/S cabin and found that the beds had been pushed together and were up against the wardrobe on one side and the dresser on the other. So the only way to get in or out was to climb over the bottom of the bed. My husband was in a wheelchair so hat obviously wasn't going to happen ! The stewards reconfigured the beds once we asked - but what were they thinking in an accessible stateroom.
