This was the worst embarkation of any cruise I have ever been on. Boarding started at 11am and you had assigned times, but the lines were huge and the wait was in the bright sun on a very warm day in Miami. We were in line for over 4 hours before we were allowed to board. I had requested a wheelchair for my husband but the line of people waiting for those was also long and they seemed to have only 3 or 4 wheelchairs for this huge ship. We were exhausted by the time we finally got onboard, It was a terrible way to start a cruise that we were taking just for a nice relaxing getaway! I also resented the fact that after we booked and paid for the cruise, NCL kept adding new free packages to the price we had paid but would only give the perks to new registrations. Not conducive to encouraging early sign ups for sure!

We had a midship room with balcony which was ok. We had the beverage package as a bonus but felt the internet we had to pay for was way over priced and often we did not even have good Internet! The bartenders at some of the bars were slower to serve those with the beverage packages as they could get better tips from the "paying" customers I suppose. We did enjoy the free dining times and did not pay for any of the upgraded restaurants but stuck with the free ones. Food was fine but nothing special. We did not take any of the ship excursions but did have a wonderful man with ToursbyLocals in Roratan and a marvelous taxi driver/guide Mario in Cozumel. Will not cruise with this line again. However, our cruise agent was terrific.
