So we arrived in Venice the day before boarding the MSC Magnifica. I was our first trip to Europe together and we were very excited. Venice is an incredibly beautiful city to explore, with no cars and in April the weather was just perfect with very little as far as tourists. The port was only a short distance from our hotel. Upon arrival we dropped off our luggage and were greeted with a glass of juice or water while we wait our turn to check-in. The pre-Check-in process meant I had little to do but get my room key. We promptly boarded the ship and went to eat lunch. Our room was ready by 1pm and was clean and beautiful. Style is nice, balcony was wonderful. I can say this... we loved our room even though we didn't spend much time there.
So we had 6 ports of Call on our trip.. all were wonderful. The best part was, anywhere that we docked, if it was far from town, the cruise had a shuttle service that for $3 each would shuttle you back & forth all day. No need to book an excursion to get to town. We booked 2 major excursions with the cruise ship... both were EXCELLENT, well organised and informative.
The food on the ship was great. waiters and staff were always there to have a laugh and help us with anything we needed. They left us be so we could enjoy our meal but were nearby if we wanted something. variety of food was good, European in style, but very tasty. many healthy options.... Definitely get the Drink Plans... so worth it.
Great Cabin... centrally located in the ship on deck 10... Smooth sailing, lots of room.
Ours was blue with nice decor and very clean.
Loved it.
