Sail Date: Mar 2016

I chose this cruise specifically to see Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta.

I've sailed onboard the Jewel's sister ship, the Norwegian Pearl, and loved the experience there. The Jewel is a bit older, and definitely has an older feel to it. I spent quite a bit of time in the Thermal Spa, which, again, is slightly inferior to the Pearl. However, other than that older feel, everything else was a typical, good NCL experience.

Where I felt the ship excelled was in having the unlimited beverage package. I spent a good deal of the cruise with a virgin strawberry daiquiri in hand; not a bit of trouble getting them in the various bars around the ship. I felt NCL really stepped up its service from recent encounters.

Los Angeles

I enjoyed staying in Los Angeles overnight. We stayed near the pier, and I definitely enjoyed it.
