I have been cruising with NCL since 1995 and after this cruise I WILL NOT SAIL AGAIN...we decided to book a Haven thinking the service and atmosphere woukd be so much different.. It was not!! There was much discrimination going on as I have 2 children with special needs, they got into the pool which is anyone was in the Haven knows it is teeny tiny..and it is only 3 ft! Some older lady was sitting right at the pool and started screaming at my children because she got a drop of water on her! I went to my cabin and I called someone and thought the problem would stop it dud not another older lady came in dressed in wind pants and a jacket with all get electronics and screamed at the kids again because she dud not want to get wet...first off don't sit by the pool secondly my kids were not doing anything but trying to play and were respectful to everyone. Again when I called the head of guest services they suggested I leave the area and go to the main pool. I said the Haven is not an adults only and if someone doesn't want to get a drop of water on them don't sit there. The chairs are about 12 inches from the pool! I have always and on this cruise got complimented about how well behaved my children are! We had a butler who knew I was allergic to peanuts and brought us peanut butter and jelly and I ate the ham and cheese must have been cross contamination because I broke out and ended up eating a lot of Benadryl. Than to top it off as I said my children have special needs we went to get pictures taken which is always a chore and the person who took them were so rude I was shocked and than they ruined every picture with horrible shadows on the pictures. When the photo manager tried to have 1 fixed I know how weird splotches on our faces so we lost out... The food was sub par as I bought a dining package and went to Cagneys and sent my steak back on 3 different occasions and my baked potatoe soup was like warm milk! It was not like this last year...even their drinks seemed more watered down than before! My door bell was broke and rang for days which the guest services lady told me that the hotel director accidentally rang my bell twice but never stayed to say I'm sorry? We found out days later there was a problem.. My shower was broke and took 2 days to fix with maintenance coming several times to not having wheelchair assistance as promised. By the time we got to the first port I was so upset I was having severe anxiety attacks that I was on the phone yo corporate asking them for a refund and I would get off the ship right than and fly home. They told me I needed to stay on the ship and let them deal with it, that was a joke!!! When any adults were in the room my son was so scared that he was afraid he would get screamed at...on the private island I bought a bottle of wine and when they delivered it to my cabana I got no cork screw and these tiny plastic cups to drink it in...needless to say I brought it home. I coukd keep going on because so much more has happened but I think you all have an idea. I wrote a letter to NCL and I'm waiting to hear if they will respond. Since I have been home I have had nightmares and when we went to a pool near our home my son was afraid to go in :(
