We went Basically because it was cheap. We paid $56 a day each and we didn't expect much and we got what we expected. Food very ordinary. Even Salt Grill was disappointing. Embarkation and disembarkation ok. Ship is old but clean. Cabin was clean and had ample storage. Shower better than those I have used on Princess ships. The entertainment was poor, with the exception of Tenori, a trio of tenors who could sing. Very limited activities. No enrichment lectures, no port lectures. Most shore excursions cancelled as not many people were willing to pay the price P &O were asking. I would visit the islands again but NOT with P & O.
The Mix bar offered a very good range of whisky, including some spectacular single malts. However the prices for drinks were on a parr with Australian standards.
I was disappointed that a very limited range of drinks suitable for diabetics (Coke) was on offer. I avoid caffeine so it was water for me. More sugar free options should be available. We were not allowed to bring liquids on board, which I did with Princess(sugar free cordial).
Cabin adequate, kept clean by stewards.
