I had wanted to try an Oasis class ship for some time and this was a perfect opportunity as it was departing from my local port.I would normally avoid brand new ships, until the teething problems are sorted out,but this was a one off as it is unlikely that Harmony will return to Southampton.

The boarding process was the fastest and easiest I have ever experienced,as soon as we got out of the taxi there was a porter waiting to take the cases away,a short walk into reception, lots of people with I Pads waiting to check your paperwork/passports take your photograph, and that was it,from getting out of the cab to being on the ship, about 15 minutes, brilliant.

We had a nice cabin ( junior suite deck 9 ) spacious, shower over bath, walk in closet , good sized balcony.Although we had a sofa and 2 chairs,if we had wanted to eat in the cabin, the table was too small for 2 people to sit at.The coffee machine in the cabin had a faulty switch, in order to make it work I had to hold it down all the time,as it was it didn't matter, because the filters were the wrong size for the machine, and leaked water everywhere.I would have thought this problem would have been noticed on the 'shakedown' cruises, and the correct size filters obtained.Only other minor gripe, small safe, big enough for money/passports etc,but no good for laptops or large cameras.
