My wife and I are both senior citizens although both are active for our age. This was my first cruise and my wife's second. Throughout the cruise to Alaska, every employee on the ship proved to be friendly and helpful. The young man who took care of our small but comfortable stateroom did an excellent job. Our stateroom was quite distant from the main dining areas. But that was more a function of the type of stateroom that we purchased than any negative to do with the ship. Embarkation and Disembarkation both went smoothly with no delays whatsoever. We arrived and departed every port exactly on time. When we sailed the glaciers, we got closer than I ever imagined we would come to them. The food was good throughout the cruise. We didn't try any of the themed restaurants but the buffet and the two more formal dining rooms provided excellent choices. Activities were too numerous to mention. At times it was difficult to choose which, if any, to attend. Our shore excursions were all very good, albeit a bit pricey. We found that we could have arranged the same excursions on our own for much less expense. My wife and I also did a land tour to Denali at the end of the cruise that was part of the cruise package that we purchased. Norwegian did an excellent job with the tour company in Anchorage and with our accommodations in Anchorage and Denali. When we first planned a cruise to Alaska, we explored several other cruise lines in addition to Norwegian. All in all, we have no regrets by choosing Norwegian and we would do the same again.
Didn't really get to spend much time in Vancouver. Just an overnight in a motel and then we boarded the ship.
Views of the glaciers was excellent but we never left the ship.
This was the disembarkation port. Never saw Seward. We got off the ship, got on the bus, and went to Anchorage.
