Cabin: Royal Suite

We have sailed on the Summit 3 years in a row in the Royal Suite. The first two times We absolutely loved the cruise to Bermuda, a place we visit yearly. The first time on Summit was the same as all the celebrity cruises we had and loved starting from our first in 1982 on the Zenith. The second cruise on Summit was even nicer than before, with the introduction of Michael's Club and Luminae to Suite customers. This last cruise was the best of times and the worst of times. Butler and Steward's were to die for. Their service was above exemplary. The Luminae staff what you would get from any five star restaurant.

The same for Tuscan and Qsine. Wonderful friendly people. Michael's Club was very entertaining with music, special events and Maja the concierge. She was top of the line. She was the most courteous, knowledgeable and wonderful hostess you would want to know. The ship was very clean, even the rest rooms were kept immaculate. Entertainment was wonderful. All shows were very entertaining except the comedian. He was ok with his joke but on the money with his impressions. We weren't bored. We did not participate much with the activities or the spa area so can not express an opinion.

Dining: Tuscan: very nice menu and excellent food, especially the filet mignon. Service was superb. Our waiters were Edwardo and Gabby of whom were both terrific. Luminae, Service was par-excellence. We had Dominic as our waiter. Fabulous! Charles as our Matre'd, what a gentleman. Food left a lot to be desired. The entries were so bad(steak dry, lamb tasted greasy) we ordered off the Cosmopolitan, much better. Luminae's menu is very limited and in our opinion, not up to a good rating. Not happy!

Cabin Review

Royal Suite

Cabin RS

Has been refurbished into a noisy, uncomfortable, dungeon like atmosphere with no ambiance or style. It represents a 1960's No-Tell-Motel with the ugliest plastic furnishings available at bargain basement prices. Not up to Royal Suite Standards. My dog hangs his leash in a better environment than you charge $9000 for.. Deck also unusable, the furnishings are very cheap and extremely dangerous. The chairs are out of Alice and Wonderland and the chaise's are $29.99 "Big-Lots " special. The chairs are so light the wind pushes them all over the deck. The chaise lounge is extremely difficult to maneuver in. Twice I had to get off the chairs because my husband said they were bending Not happy! your refurbishment was a shoddy job. You didn't even take the time to fix the broken cabinets, chipped wood or the loose glass in the sliding living room door. You put nice sinks in the bathroom along with this ugly art deco glass decoration on the Jacuzzi's wall. The workers did not even check to see if it was smooth, which it was not and did have some sharp edges on it. Forgot to tell house keeping that. Awning ropes frayed on deck. During night wind one awning broke loose and was slamming against the sliding door. The butler immediately called maintenance to cut it off, which was done. Bet you a dollar with how cheep you have gotten it won't be fixed anytime soon. Lost all respect for Celebrity. They have downgraded themselves for no better reason than stock holders profit. I have steadily watched your down grading since 1982. We have stayed loyal but you are pushing us to hard to change shipping lines. I am diligently going to be looking into real luxury lines. That is what We want in a cruise and apparently this is not you any longer

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

Wonderful place. Easy going, nice and relaxed atmosphere, lots of shopping, glass blowing, clay works, swim with the dolphins and much more. Knock your socks off and have a ball

Bayonne (Cape Liberty)

Bermuda is a wonderful place to visit. Easy to maneuver, wonderful places to visit. You have the crystal caves, the dockyard with its glasswork and clay works, the fort and maritime museum, dolphin swimming and much more. Go to St Georges for the wench ducking once a day at 12 noon. Visit the beaches and just relax. You won't be disapointed
