We gave MSC a second shot having previously sailed on Musica and not rated it highly BUT this cruise was cheap and went to some interesting ports.

Flight from Gatwick with BA was brilliant, a quick and easy transfer from Genoa and we were soon aboard and exploring.

Food was awful in buffet, the same choices each day- not much better in the Marco Polo main dining room where dishes were hit and miss.

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom

Cabin O1

Brilliant location in a quiet area of the ship. Huge window to let in daylight. As always a small bathroom. Had issues with toilet flushing.

Our Steward Frederick was amazing, nothing too much trouble. We looked forward to the nightly towel animals - each with its own name.

Port Reviews

Marseille

Wandered around the old port area - nothing specail.

Sardinia

Enjoyed doing our own thing and exploring.

Malta (Valletta)

Excellent place - make sure you visit the Cathedral and see the Caravaggio painting !!

Taormina (Messina)

Not a lot to do but do not miss the 12.00 show at the Piazza Dumo

Rome (Civitavecchia)

Not enough time in port to justify a tiring trip to Rome but a pleasant sae from promenade to walk along.

Genoa

Port of embarkation so did not see the city.
