Just got back from sailing on the MSC Divina out of Miami with friends. Strange that the reviews we read before sailing were quite different than our experience. All the staff, from our room maid, bartenders, waitstaff and wait staff were excellent, far better than the last cruise we had on Royal Caribbean where service was HORRIBLE. Shows were fantastic, best of any cruise we have ever been on and the ship itself was very clean and organized. The band at the Golden Bar had the best entertainment on the seas, Sky Duo were fantastic. Pizza bar was unbelievable, best staff and pizza I have ever had at sea. BUT the negatives outweigh the positives. 1) We purchased the dinner package at their fine dinning restaurant Eataly,s and Galaxy. Their web site said we would select menu items for dinner, NOT SO, at Galaxy our waiter helped us select options BUT told us we had purchased a fixed price non-changeable menu. It was far worse at Eataly's, there we were told that we only could eat the 7 course fixed menu, which we did not want, waitress told us we had no options so we tried it. Rather than eat here we paid for a pizza. First course was raw tuna, second was uncooked scallops (seared) the next was raw shellfish over couscous (tasteless), since we do not eat raw fish we walked out after eating nothing, but we did waist 1 hour in the process. 2) Alcohol service in main restaurant was super slow, ended up ordering 2 drinks at a time to have at least one before dinner was over. 3) No perks from being frequent cruisers like RCL offers. 3) The worse was their were children playing in every pool and hot tub, no adult area. O they say they have one but it is on the top deck with NO shade, no umbrellas or sails and it costs 10$ per day per person to visit. 4) Really no activities except gym NO rock climbing wall, no boogie wave runner, no ice rink, no mini golf, tiny basketball court, no pool in spa, really nothing. 5) No conditioner, Q tips or bar soap in bathroom. 6) All entertainment shut down at midnight or 12:30, nothing after that. 7) Interactive TV did not boot most of the time so could not access bill or room service menu.
