Sail Date: Jun 2016

My husband surprised me with this cruise as it was over our 20th anniversary. We liked the idea of a smaller ship as it was just the two of us (sailed on the Oasis with our 3 kids in April) and we liked the more intimate setting.

On our way to the airport, I made the mistake of reading the reviews. Particularly I was looking to see about the motion of the boat as I was a bit worried about seasickness, and I was terribly disappointed to read all the other reviews from passengers on the first sailing. We were so concerned that we even called Royal Caribbean to see if we could take a different ship this week instead.

We were actually pleasantly surprised that many of the complaints seemed to have been addressed but we still had plenty to add to the list. First of all, there was about one officer per 50 passengers as there was always one or two walking around, talking with passengers, checking on areas of the ship, pitching in where needed. I was very impressed with this.

Cabin Review

Cabin Inside Cabin

The ship is old, everything squeaks and the walls are paper thin. I would recommend ear plugs and a small fan to offer white noise and air circulation. The shower is tiny but fine.
