Horizon Cruise Review by Johanna87
- Sail Date: March 2016
- Destination: Transatlantic
I am a young mother traveling alone with my two year old which is not always easy but with the experience with this boat and previously on Pullmantur's Empress, I can only recommend the cruise line! The food was not very good in the beginning but it got better along the way. The weather happened to be terrible but seeing my son being loved and attended by the staff and clientele and him having the time of his life this cruise has been one of the greatest travel memories for me.
Note that you should know languages like Spanish or French to get the best of the cruise. The repositioning cruises are my thing and I will certainly go for more.

La Romana (Casa de Campo)If you walk past all the touristy nonsense, past the taxis too, you will find a group of Dominican motoconcho guys to take you around the city with a motorbike. It's priced for tourists as well, do not expect to find anything cheap. But it's better than the taxi.View All 195 La Romana (Casa de Campo) Cruise Port Reviews

St. MaartenWalk to the city and find a bus stop there. Everything is touristy and priced accordingly. City bus to the Playa de Aviones with planes flying over your head cost 2 dollars. Going back a tarinan promised to TaKe us back to the ship for 10 dollars total. He ended up charging his mind and wanted more money as a tip and he called us the cheapest people he has ever met and got very mad. Terrible experience.View All 4,755 St. Maarten Cruise Port Reviews
