This was our 3rd Celebrity cruise - we keep returning because they are consistently good and enjoy the Celebrity way of doing things.
Embarkation in Civittavechia was a breeze, we arrived at the port at 12.10 and we're in the Ocean view having lunch at 12.45, brilliant organisation.
Staterooms were ready at 1pm and our luggage was already out side the door, doesn't start off much better than that.
The ship is spotless although some minor signs of wear and tear in the chairs in the main dining room, but to be expected.
The cabin was kept immaculately clean and well supplied with towels and toiletries.
We had breakfast in Ocean view every day - plenty of choice, all cooked and presented well and never had a problem finding a table.
Dinners were in the main dining room with the exception of 2 nights when we ate in Tuscan Grill and Qsine. We chose these 2 speciality restaurants as we have used them before and the food and service standards are impeccable. We skipped Murano this time as we find it a bit over the top and the menu doesn't appear to have changed much in 2 years. Main dining room food was very good and our waiters were just great.
I've said this before on other questionnaires and it still stands true. Cafe Al Bacio is so popular it needs more space. The coffees, teas and cakes are devine and the service superb, but it just can't cater for the number of users.
My last and only real criticism about this particular cruise concerns bar opening hours on rainy days. We had awful rain in Naples and the only place you could get a drink indoors was Cafe all Bacio. Management should have made better arrangements to cater for passengers who had no intention of going on deck to the pool bar for a drink in the pouring rain.
Otherwise all was good as usual including debarkation which was just as smooth as Embarkation. Full marks Celebrity - we're back next year!
