I went on a singles cruise where we stopped at Grand Turk, La Romana, Curacao, and Aruba. The Breeze was a little worn, a little dirty, not really bad, but not good either.

The food was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. They did have some great comedy shows and there was a wonderful band that played nightly in one of the lounges. Needless to say, we did a lot of dancing, and a lot of drinking. Embarkation went smoothly for me, however when I arrived at the port (after my chosen time to board) there was a terribly long line of people outside the building, waiting to get in. My luggage arrived shortly thereafter, which was a plus.

In Grand Turk, I went to Jacks Shack down the beach from Margaritaville. It is a little more laid back and less crowded. In La Romana, I took a taxi up to Los Altos de Chavon, the medieval village. It was worth the trip; beautiful views. I took an excursion called Eat, Drink, Walk in Curacao. We had an excellent guide who walked us around the city and explained many interesting facts about the island. We then went to a restaurant by the sea called Scampis, and had sample tastings of four local dishes as well as a salsa lesson. For dinner that night we at at Grill King, another restaurant by the sea. It was just okay. In Aruba, we took the kunuku bus tour and had a great guide named Carlos who drove us all over the island before dropping us off at Moomba Beach for a couple of hours. Overall, it was a great trip.
