We had sailed on the Maasdam 6 years ago and that experience hooked us on Holland America cruises.
This cruise has a wonderful itinerary. We did an 8 day Alaska last September and were very disappointed with the weather. This trip we had fabulous weather except for two days. I cannot tell you anything specific about the ports as due to mobility problems we did not disembark.
We had an inside cabin which was large enough, however, in the future for a cruise of this length we would get an outside or balcony as the inside cabin made us sleep a lot without daylight. Our cabin steward was wonderful, even cleaning the cabin when we left at 1pm.

Large Interior Stateroom
We had an inside cabin with a shower. Large enough for 2. The service by our steward was excellent.
Port Reviews
Icy Strait
We stayed on the ship. There was a whale in the bay that entertained all on board.
Sitka
As we were leaving Sitka an american eagle landed on the dock.
Seattle
We have been to Seattle in the past and love this city.
