The ship is beautifully decorated and in good condition. The furnishings i the public areas are very different and interesting - lots of places to hide away and people watch. Didn't care too much for the artwork which I have always enjoyed on RC. Our cabin was small - 170 sq. ft. with a balcony - but we are used to larger cabins on RC and Regent. It was very comfortable and well-kept - our attendants were great! They did sometimes forget that we wanted ice in the room every evening.
Food in the Oceanview Cafe was consistently good - had a nice variety so you could always find something you wanted. The food in the MDR was disappointing at times - really good one night and not so great the next. Lamb was excellent, Chicken Cordon Bleu not great. Fish usually good. Beef cheeks one night delicious. Desserts were always good. Also we didn't understand their policy of no reservations between 7 and 8 pm (we did the our time dining not the early or late seating). The first two nights we made reservations at 8 pm and the rest of the time just walked down around 7:15 and put our name in (we were a party of three) and we usually were seated at a table by the window in minutes.
Shore excursions in Bermuda (like everything else) very expensive so we explored on our own. No one aboard the ship knew anything about getting around from the pier so we had to wait until we were ashore to find out about shuttles and taxis which we knew would be close by. You can purchase bus tickets right at the pier in the kiosk or get a 9 or 10 person shuttle but they wait until they are full to take off. There is a trolley which will take you all around the Dockyard so look for that - runs every 30 minutes. Took a public bus out to St George which was fun but a long trip. Saw a lot of the island this way but no commentary of course. Ferry ride back and over to Hamilton is the way to go. Shuttle bus to Horseshoe Bay was $7 a person - a MUST SEE!! About a 20 minute ride. Casual lunch for three in St. George ran us over $100 (including 2 beers and one glass of wine).
It was the smallest cabin I have ever been in but very comfortable beds - sitting area only had a large chair in it not a loveseat - room for only one person and one in the chair by the desk. Couldn't imagine en suite dining unless you sat on the balcony and ate off your lap. Balcony was great - had some rust stains on it which they worked on one morning. Bathroom was tiny but adequate. Storage was good - closet was nice. Plenty of storage space for two. Can't imagine having a third or fourth person in the stateroom.
