My wife and I had never visited Hawaii and thought this Hawaii-only cruise would be a good way to see it for the first time. We were lucky to be joined by two other couples who are good friends and also wanted to see the islands. We were not disappointed. To put it simply, the cruise was one of the best we have ever taken.

The ship has been recently updated, so it was in beautiful physical condition. Dining throughout was very good. Unbelievable choices on the buffet for every meal, 2 sit-down restaurants if that is what you prefer, and several excellent "specialty" restaurants for which you pay a surcharge to dine in. We thought the best were Cagney's steakhouse, and the Jefferson Bistro. We made reservations everywhere due to our 6 person party size, but we saw parties of 2 or 4 walk in and generally didn't seem to have trouble getting seated in the two sit-down restaurants. You need reservations for all the specialty dining.

We found the staff to be courteous, friendly, and attentive throughout the trip. It was obvious that they understood the importance of a service mindset.

Perfectly adequate cabin for a cruise ship. Don't forget, you're basically only in your cabin to sleep. All day you're either out sightseeing or enjoying dining or other amenities on the ship. We had a nice king bed, TV for news and movies, and a small refrig and coffee maker. The balcony was nice to sit on in the morning enjoying the harbor view and coffee made in our room or delivered via complimentary continental breakfast service. Bathrooms on ships are tiny.... enough said. Room steward service was excellent. All requests promptly met, i.e. towels, ice, etc.
