We chose the cruise based on the itinerary and it was slightly less expensive than other cruise lines. However the stops in Victoria and Ketchikan were too short. The excursions were all too expensive. We took the steam train in Skagway and a city tour. Both were very good. We paid for an independent shuttle to Mendenhall glacier in order to have the max time to explore. We felt that the boat trip at Dawes glacier was not worth the $200/person and we had great views from the ship. You can easily spend $2000 per couple for excursions. The food in the dining room was for the most part tasteless. The menu had variety but it always seemed like some ingredient was missing. We were on this ship in the Carribean several years ago. Since then the cruise line added a water slide and children' play area and updated some public areas but the cabins are the same and need updating.

The staff were pleasant but again this varied.

Cabin was clean but needed updating. Upholstery on couch looked worn. Carpet looked new. TV was not flat screen.
