Had sailed with Princess before. This was first time with the Ruby princess. Ship was laid out nicely and we didnt have any concerns getting around the ship. We got a free upgrade to a mini suite, and since there were 3 of us that was appreciated. My only concern was that this time they didnt seem to have much going on board this time. The activities (crafts) we went to were not well thought out and pretty cheap. The theater entertainment was ok but not the caliber we had on the other cruises with Princess or Norwegian. I think we have been spoiled with Norwegian the last 2 cruises.

I would not recommend Hawaii Cruise Excursions sub contractor Hawaii Green Tours we had on the big island that we did NOT book thru Princess. They had us get on 3 different vans and they left us at a candy shop while they switched vans for the 3rd time. And our driver kept saying he didnt like his job. Not professional in my opinion. Tour was ok but not worth what we paid. Wont use them again.

The Ruby has lots of stores but they are always trying to nickle & dime you at every turn. The slots were pretty loose for a ship but we put everything back and more! Had a lot of fun though. The lounge entertainment was pretty good especially the magician. The comedians were ok. My husband LOVED the Pearl Harbor and military lectures they had almost every day in the princess theater
