Let me start out by saying I choose the Carnival Ecstasy that sailed out of Charleston S.C on May 29,2016 because of the ports and the convenience of sailing out of my home port. That is the only decent thing I can say about my experience on this cruise. The service was awful, rude employees the food was even worse that that and sewer smell woke us up choking us in our sleep. The ship is old out dated and needs work....it looked like a throw back to Vegas in the 70's. The casino staff had a different story every night for the same questions.....I had to ask for a drink or locate casino manager to order a drink and when someone came around to take my drink order it never came. Cabin steward was nice and cabin was okay but mattress was awful. The food was disgusting and the longer the cruise was the worse the food. Entertainment was okay......service was terrible ports were great. When I went to guest services with my complaints they said "sorry". I had to wait to get home and call Carnival the explain my experience and they offered me 15% off my next cruise......I told them that after the way I was treated nad complaints were handled I would not ever book a cruise with Carnival again. SAIL AT YOUR OWN RISK WITH CARNIVAL.......BOOK WITH ROYAL CARRIBEAN AND SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND EXPENSE.
