We had a fantastic time on our Alaskan cruise! We arrived the night before and stayed at The Captain Cook hotel. Nice, large room with a great view. Easy walk to the Egan Center to check in for our transfer to Whitter. We had an hour so walked around for a little while. The hour and a half drive was nice. Our driver narrated for us. Embarkation was pretty quick. We were given a map of the ship and our cabin info. Security was fast and then on to our cabin. We were in a mini suite D529. Very nice size with lots of room. Even our very large suitcases fit under the bed. We were met by our cabin steward with a very good glass of champagne. The sail away from beautiful. Some of my best pictures were taken that night. We had anytime dining and usually ate at 8:00 or later. Never a wait for a table for two. Reservations were available, but we never needed one. Since we ate late we went to the late shows and could always find a seat. We loved all the ports and excursions. My advice; choose an excursion that gets you out of town and away from the tourist shops. There is so much more to each city. Service was great from everyone we dealt with. Our best sail away was when we were leaving Ketchican. We were in the outdoor spa with a drink, watching the scenery go by and an eagle flying overhead, perfect! Debarkation was the smoothest in ten cruises. We had breakfast, walked off, found our luggage right away and just a ten minute wait for a cab. Now it's time to plan the next cruise.

Loved The Coral to Alaska!
