We wanted to cruise down the Danube River and Viking had a good reputation for a reasonable price. The ship was beautiful, and the entire staff was outstanding. The food was the best we have had on a cruise, as was the service. Everything was extremely well organized, and we never had to wait very long for anything. The outdoor grill was superb, and would only have been better had they changed the salad and appetizers (great, but same one every night) once or twice during the week. The restaurant was nice too, and not too noisy as on some of the other ships. The cruise director was also great, as was the surprise harbor tour to see the Budapest lights on the last night. The only complaint we had was that the company gave us false information prior to our trip: the dress code was not as stated, which was good for us except for the extra clothes we packed and didn't need, and the outdoor grill was open every night, not just for breakfast and lunch, also good for us, again with the exception of the extra clothes. We would definitely take another Viking cruise, but not this particular itinerary.

Cabin Review

Veranda Superior

Cabin A

Excellent location with coffee station, danish/cookies, and internet station right outside.

No noise from anywhere around our cabin, which was kept spotless at all times. Roomy balcony and shower, and small refrigerator for leftover treats. Top quality throughout!
