This was my 3rd cruise on Royal Caribbean. The first two were on Grandeuer of the Seas out of Baltimore, and Freedom of the Seas out of Florida. Both of those cruises were wonderful--beautiful ships and excellent food, service and entertainment. We did one cruise on Carnival Glory which did not measure up to RC in most categories. The food was average, service was not nearly as good as on RC ships, and the ship itself was decorated in pretty ugly 70's decor.

The CEO of my company very generously took me and 600 fellow employees and our guests on this all-expenses paid trip to the Bahamas on Enchantment of the Seas! It's hard to complain when everything is paid for and I found very little to complain about anyway. This is one of the older ships, but it is kept very neat and clean and the decor is very attractive. Getting on and off of the ship went very quickly and efficiently. Be prepared to stand awhile for the mandatory muster drill.

The service and friendliness of every single staff member was exemplary. We loved our waiters in the dining room, Ionel and Mario. Our favorite bartenders were Brian, Andrii, and Anna in the Schooner Bar (TIP: This bar was never crowded either). The food in the main dining room was good every night. The Buffet in the Windjammer was always good, although I would say the breakfast food was the best. We ate one night in Chops for a $35 extra fee and it was worth every penny. The French Onion Soup, Shrimp Cocktail, and Filet were out of this world, as was the Mississippi Mud Pie for dessert. Tip is even included in the $35 fee and Martina, our waitress, was excellent.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D1

Our cabin was very spacious with more storage than I have seen in many hotel rooms! It was kept very neat and clean. The only criticism is the size of the shower which is probably small on most cruise ships. The bathroom itself was actually fairly roomy with lots of room for storage of personal items which I loved! The bed was a little hard for me, but itwas ok and I slept well every night! The people who serviced the cabin were all extremely friendly and helpful every time we saw them in the hallway.
