Nice Alaskan cruise, but the Ruby is a bit too big for me.

We are experienced cruisers as this was our 24th cruise - 4th with Princess. We flew into SEATAC a day early and spent time around Seattle. On the morning of the cruise, we arraigned a private shuttle (Shuttlefare) from the hotel to the cruise terminal and arrived at about 11 am. This was an Alaskan inside passage cruise with stops in Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria. Weather was mostly overcast with light rain most of the trip.

Embarkation was a breeze as they appeared very organized. We had an OV cabin which was ready when we arrived. Buffet lunch, unpacking, life boat drill and we were off to Alaska.

The ship appeared to be in very good shape. OV cabin was very nice with lots of storage. We had a new bed that was very comfy. Something odd that did happen was that 7 days on board without ever meeting or seeing our room steward?????? He (or she) did an excellent job keeping it clean, but never bothered to introduce him/her self.

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OV

Has an obstructed view - but you do have a limited view of the ocean.
