We booked 7 nights on this ship for our honeymoon. Our initial impression was beautiful ship, very grand in places. Very clean apart from some of the toilets. Staff worked tirelessly but some senior staff were quite rude at times and very slow to respond to things being done. Food was plentiful but luke warm a lot of the time and entertainment not the best. balcony cabin was lovely with a great view.

For the most part we had a lovely time stopping off at various ports but sadly this all came to an abrupt end when we realised when paying our final bill on the morning of disembarkation that we had had money taken from our safe, a total of 150 euros and £100 cash. The Senior Officer came down and went with my husband to check our room, which had already been cleaned and as expected found no trace of the money. He had a total lack of empathy and very unhelpful. He asked if he was sure he'd locked the safe and to the best of his knowledge he did but regardless of this it was still in our cabin! When my husband mentioned the police he said MSC would investigate as only a senior staff member could access the safe. I also do not like the fact that staff are allowed to enter your cabin to place information sheets in your room as these can be placed under the door so you do not know who has been in your room and very hard to prove as your word against theirs. This has totally ruined our honeymoon and left a very bad taste in our mouths, so much so that we will never travel with MSC again. I read a review on another site where people had jewellery taken from their luggage too. Who ever did this was very cunning as did not take all the money but not enough for you to notice immediately. We have travelled to lots of places and never had anything like this happen to us. I would advise people to be cautious and take very little money and use credit cards for added security. Sadly we had both cash and euros as wedding gifts for our honeymoon for an extended hotel stay in Barcelona so even more upseting.
